Saturday Program
New International School has a Saturday Program offering intensive 2 ½ hour classes in English on one to
three Saturdays each month.  The program is open to the wider community as well as to our current students.
The classes include skill-building activities in reading, writing, and speaking, as well as theme-based activities.
The lessons are intended to be of value to either native or non-native speakers of English.  Children who are
signed up for classes both in the mornings and in the afternoons will need to bring a boxed lunch.
A 25,000 yen registration fee is required for new students only.  It is waived for current or former students at
NewIS, or students who have participated in any of the NewIS programs (including the Saturday or Summer
Programs) in the past.

Please note that due the high demand and possibly a waiting list for some dates, make up sessions for last
minute cancellations will not be made available nor will fees be refunded for missed lessons. However, subject
to availability of space, the cost may be applied to a subsequent lesson within the indicated schedule for
cancellations received a week or more in advance.

If the school has to cancel lessons for any reason, make-up dates will be scheduled in June 2017.

Parents who would like to enroll their child(ren) in the above program are invited to register their children
on-line through the link on this page, using a PC or Mac.  A confirmation message with bank transfer payment
information will then be sent to your email address.

Finally, a weekly Saturday program in Italian is offered at NewIS by Il-Centro Dante Alighieri.   For
information about that program, please contact Alessandra Milani at in Italian, English or
